Before I talk about my life as a Social Media Advisor, I first want to share a little info about myself.  I am originally from Reading, PA and moved to Myrtle Beach, SC in 1998 after graduating from high school. Shortly after moving to the area, I attended Coastal Carolina University where I graduated in Business Management.

While working on my degree, I obtained my Real Estate License in 2001 and teamed up with my father from 2002 to 2009 to become a top producing real estate team in Myrtle Beach, The Blanton Team. After several years of success as a real estate agent, I then joined ActiveRain as a community builder in March 2009.  ActiveRain is one of the world's largest real estate networks with over 173,000 members worldwide. In December of 2009 I became the community manager of SmartHippo, a social media platform designed to help consumers make informed decisions when purchasing a home.

Over the past two years, I have traveled all around the country as a social media advisor helping thousands learn how to use social media networks to increase their business.  I  have spoken to entire corporations on how to integrate social media sites like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and blogs into their business and marketing strategy.  I've been published on various sites including Coldwell Banker, Rubbermaid, New Home Source, and currently I'm also a guest blogger for my local newspaper.  

In December of 2009, I teamed up with Jason Crouch to form 210 Consulting- Social Media Advisors.  Jason & I started this company because we were ready to make a difference.  Unlike many others, we actually used (and continue to use) social media in our daily business plans and have seen big-time results.

When I am not busy working, I love getting out & enjoying some of the most beautiful golf courses Myrtle Beach has to offer. I am a professional army golfer (left, right, left, right down the course.) Some of my other loves include spending time with my awesome wife and super cute daughter which I call my "built in entertainment system."

I believe the biggest difference between myself as a social media advisor and those that call themselves social media gurus or experts is this:  I use the various social media networks daily for my businesses and have seen plenty of success.  Instead of bragging about how many followers I have, I feel the better option would be to allow you to judge for yourself.  So, please come check me out on the various social media networks.  My profiles are listed below:
